Zero Run and Chili Cook Off

A chili feed and contest.  Dust off your bike and ride 1 mile for each degree above zero.  

Come join us for our annual Chili Cook Off competition and Zero Run Ride. Enjoy and vote for your favorite chili and if adventurous enough, breakout your winter leathers and woolies and join the Big Barn’s Zero Run.

Chili is served at 11AM, Cost = $5.00 and $1.00 per beverage

Zero Ride Registration is 11am to 12pm at reception desk. Zero Run leaves at 12pm. Ride is 1 mile per degree outside.

The Chili Cook Off is open to all H.O.G. members and non-H.O.G. members. So find your favorite recipe and compete for your name on a plaque and bragging rights for the year. If you’re not into cooking we also need all the fixings, i.e. cheese, crackers, sour cream, cornbread desserts, etc.

This annual event is one of our largest fundraisers of the year to help support our chapter. The Zero Run Ride is a BBHD event, but we do help out with the Road Captain duties. This is also a great opportunity to meet and greet non-H.O.G. members that are joining in the event to tell them all about our chapter to see if they would be interested in joining. So if you are either riding or helping – if you see someone you don’t know be sure to say “Hi” and tell them all about our AWESOME chapter!!

Volunteers are needed to bring chili, all the fixins, help with Road Captain duties and also needed for setup, clean up and help out during the event. If you are interested in helping – please reach out to Deb (515-689-4902) or sign up at the January Chapter Meeting. If you plan on bringing chili – please bring it no later than 10 am so it is set up, warm and ready to serve.

Disclaimer:

Both members and non-members should check in with the road captain/event coordinator as soon as they arrive to the meeting location/event.  It is required that the non-member riders and passengers sign-in and sign the release waiver to participate in the chapter event.  Per our chapter charter, and for insurance reasons, we are required to have 1 more registered member over the guest count(i.e. 15 members and 14 guests) at an event.  In the event that we do not meet these guidelines the road captain or event coordinator will ask the last guest to sign in, who were not pre-registered on DSMHOG.COM, to not participate in this event.
