Event Details:

If you’re looking to spend a day off the bike and maybe even with family, we have the perfect event for you!!  You’re invited to come out to the HOG Picnic on July 27th at the Sandpiper Shelter at Saylorville Lake. We’ll be doing this potluck style. So the chapter will be providing the meat, buns and toppings, all we ask is that you bring a side to share and your own beverages to drink. And if there are still people that want to hang out in the evening we will also provide stuff for s’mores!

We’re planning to have lawn games for everyone to play, like EXTREME BADMINTON. If you’re
wondering what that is, you just have to come to the picnic to find out. We’ll also have a few other competition based games planned, including a team bags tournament with a pretty awesome prize awarded to the each of the winning team members! Captain Schopp will also bring his pontoon and be taking people out on the lake if they want to have a bit of lake time.

The event will go pretty much all day, starting at 10:00am, we just have to be out by 10:00pm. Food will be served at 1:00pm. The park has many amenities to enjoy when you’re not eating and is probably the nicest shelter that Saylorville Lake has to offer. Bring the family and enjoy the large shelter, playground, sand volleyball court, or the beach; just to name a few. There is a paved road to the shelter and parking is paved as well, so you could bring your bike!!

Please RSVP on the website or on the HOGScan app. However, if you plan to bring non-HOG members to the event, like kids and grandkids, please let Lindsey know a headcount via email at [email protected] or by signing up at the July chapter meeting. That way we can get an idea of how many people will be attending. Please also indicate what side dish you will be bringing to share.

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.
